Amit Shah admitted to AIIMS for medical checkup before Parliament session

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS last night, nearly two weeks after he was discharged from the hospital. He was earlier admitted to the national capital’s top hospital for post-Covid-care. 

Later, AIIMS put out a statement saying the home minister has been admitted for a day or two for a complete medical checkup ahead of the Parliament session.

Amit Shah was discharged from AIIMS on August 31 after undergoing an extended post-Covid treatment.

Sources said he has been experiencing breathing issues post his recovery from Covid-19. “It has been thought best he stay in the hospital where he can be constantly monitored,” said a source at AIIMS.

“Home Minister Amit Shah was discharged from AIIMS after post-Covid care on August 30. As per advice given at discharge, he has now been admitted for a complete medical checkup before the parliament session for 1-2 days,” said the statement by Chairperson, AIIMS Media & Protocol Division.

Last night, at around 11 PM, he was admitted to the hospital again.
