The Bombay High Court puts a stay on Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) demolition drive at Kangana’s Bandra residence. The High Court also asked the BMC to file a reply on Kangana’s petition.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday carried out demolition at actor Kangana Ranaut’s office in Bandra claiming that many alterations were carried out on the premises without due permission.
Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday reached Mumbai amid her face-off with Shiv Sena over the illegal construction at her office in Mumbai’s Bandra.
Kangana Ranaut tweets: “There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bullywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like.”
After BMC officials reached Kangana’s residence, her lawyer had filed a plea in Bombay High Court against the demolition at her property.
No work being carried out by Kangana Ranaut in her premises as falsely understood by you, so the notice issued by you as “Stop Work Notice” is absolutely bad-in-law & appears to have been issued only to intimidate her by misusing your dominant position: Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer https://t.co/qVDRL64MwF pic.twitter.com/HCNxNfZYd1— ANI (@ANI) September 9, 2020
