Congress leader and party’s national spokesperson Rajiv Tyagi passed away due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He was Congress’ national spokesperson, who was a popular face in TV prime time debate.
He was rushed to Ghaziabad’s Yashoda Hospital after he suddenly felt unwell and fell unconscious at his residence. Doctors declared him brought dead.
Hours before his death, the Congress leader had tweeted that he will be appearing on a TV news channel for debate at 5 pm.
Sambit Patra tweeted: “Today, at 5 pm, we were a part of a debate at Aaj Tak. Life is unpredictable. I am still speechless. “

Shortly after the news of Tyagi’s demise came in, condolences poured in for him on social media with several political leaders expressing grief over his death.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also mourned his death and tweeted, “The Congress lost one of its babbar sher (lions) today. The inspiration of Rajiv Tyagi’s love and struggle will always be remembered. My heartfelt tribute to him and condolences to the family.”
